Featured Blog: Too Crewel

Hello everyone! My name is Liesi, and you can find me at Too Crewel

I’m a 23 year old self proclaimed sewing addict. In March of this year I made the decision to drop out of the college courses I was taking, and have some time off of school. I was not following a career path that I was truly interested in, and I was not sure (and still am not sure!) what it is that I want to spend my life doing. Since then I have realized that all that really matters is that I am happy, doing things I enjoy, and not living on the streets. I’ve been spending my time picking up new hobbies in order to find my true “calling.” Talk about cheesy, I know. Anyways, I have fallen absolutely in love (don’t tell my boyfriend!) with sewing, embroidery, and creweling. It is all I think about at this point...and blogging of course!

When I’m not sewing away I enjoy the outdoors, and exploring how to constantly better myself. I love camping, hiking, and exploring in general. I’m a wilderness junkie, and a fashion junkie all in one. Every month I do a “30 Day Challenge.” Last month it was 30 days without drinking any alcohol, and this month is 30 days with out dining out. I think it is important to challenge yourself, because if you don’t you will never know what you are capable of!

So what can you expect to find on Too Crewel? Current and past creations of mine, my 30 Day Challenge experiences, ways I’m working towards a healthier lifestyle, where I draw inspiration, and perhaps project ideas. It is where lifestyle meets crafting.

Featured Blog- Frieden Amore

Hi Everyone! My name is Sammy, and when I'm not featured on this amazing blog, I'm blogging over on my blog, frieden amore. 

Now that I've said that, I just heard everyone go, "frieden amore?! What the heck is that?" Well, I'm part German and part Italian and I am a HUGE supporter of peace and love. Guess what? Frieden means "Peace" in German, and Amore means "Love" in Italian. So now that we have that out of the way....

Most people might say I'm just average; I blog about typical things, I don't travel the world, I'm not famous. But I would beg to differ.  I'm a 21 year old recent college graduate of the marketing field blogging about the crazy journey that I am currently on. No, I'm not saving the world from starvation, but I am bettering myself (and I'm having a blast doing it). It's not a fashion blog. It's not a self-help blog. It's not a craft blog. It's a "sure I'm about to become a 'grown up', but I can still have a good time doing it with the people I love" blog.

I'm a blonde, and because of that, I believe I secretly have more fun :) I love to share my good times, my mishaps, and my shenanigans with anyone who wants to read them. I also am a huge believer in everyone embracing themselves and their own beauty. I recently posted a project called my "Shameless Selfie Project" promoting self-confidence and embracing oneself. I wanted to blog so that one day when I'm 99 years old with severe Alzheimer's (positive, I know), someone can show me this blog and say "Hey Sammy, you may not remember this, but look at how you lived your life to the fullest!!" Isn't that what we all aim for? To live our life to the fullest. I'm doing it in real life, and I'm sharing it on my blog. I'm still getting over the nerves of having such a public display of my thoughts, feelings, and adventures. It's a very humbling experience and I love it more every day. It's peaceful, it's full of love. It's frieden amore.

Featured Blog- Go Grad Girl

Hello lovely FTLOB readers, my name is Brooke! I’m a 21-year-old jobless, recent college graduate (as of ~ 1 week ago) whose life is currently in a state of limbo. Living in my college town of Columbus, OH for the summer (68 days left, and counting), I’m trying to adjust to life after university and find a job/fellowship/service project (basically anything) that’ll allow me the financial security to stay put in Columbus and not have to go back home to the suburbs.

My blog, Go Grad Girl, documents my transition from college to the real world and everything that that entails, from dating and meeting new people to finding a big girl job and getting into graduate school. I blog about the goings-on in my life, societal issues that affect young women, things that inspire me, etc.

Being fresh out of college for about only a week, I’ve spent the past couple of days catching up on sleep and taking care of errands I’ve been putting off. Having no responsibilities has been nice, but I know that I’m going to get bored soon and I’m starting to feel the pressure of finding a job.

I currently live with my best friend, Alex, and two new subleasers who are friends of my other two roommates that just moved out and went off into the real world. It’s weird seeing my closest friends move out and new people move in to the house that has been my home for the past two years. And it’s even weirder to watch most of my other friends leave Columbus for new jobs, graduate school, to move back home, etc.

I’ll be spending my summer applying for a gazillion jobs, studying for the September GRE, and hanging out with my friends who are still in Columbus, as well as making new friends, all the while documenting everything on my blog, Go Grad Girl.

Make it Take it Monday- A new Crafty hop

We know most of you have craftiness just oozing out of you and we thought this new hop would be a great way to share your talents. We'll call it Make it, Take it and post on Mondays, so you will be able to link up any craft you are working on or have done in the past and share it with fellow crafty folks. The great thing about this hop is that you don't have to be any particular type of crafty. There are some of us that were born that way, where others inspire to be that way. Hello For the Love of Blogs Community! It's nice to meet you all! My name is Angie, and I currently have two blogs going that I'd love to introduce you to.   First of all, this is me:

I am a 25 year old girl living in Salt Lake City, UT.  I live in a little 2 bedroom apartment with my best friend in the entire world, his bunny, and my rats & snake.  (Yes, I'm aware that one of my pets could eat the others-don't judge! haha!) We are always constantly surrounded by good friends, hosting parties, traveling, and trying to live as much as possible!

 My first blog is My So-Called Chaos which I started in February of 2009 as a way to write (I've always dreamed of being a writer) and it's grown so much since then! It's where I truly express myself and share with you all of my hopes and dreams, my wit and humor, the occasional review, and as many giveaways as I can host! I love giving things to my readers!

Also, since I'm a craft addict, I have an Etsy Store, that I like to showcase and do giveaways from on this blog! I make lots of pretty jewelry & hair accessories, and am always adding new and exciting things!

The other blog I update regularly is Health NOT to Health NUT, and I started it in order to keep myself motivated and inspired to get healthy and lose some weight.  It has daily tips and tricks to keep both me, and anyone reading inspired and pushing forward! If you're trying to get health, check it out and together we can do it!
